MY COMMENTARY: In the nineteenth century many learned men cited the Bible to justify the enslavement of blacks. Today, this discourse has become obsolete. I believe in the curse that Noah released the Ham, but I do not think legitimate to enslave people because of the color of their skin. (Text of the scribe Valdemir Mota de Menezes)
